We’re passionate about developing our people

We are committed to professional development and our approach to training. We support our people to regularly participate in external industry training courses to ensure they are trained to the highest standards to perform their role, and maintain transferable skills and qualifications.

We provide our staff the opportunity to get whatever help they need to develop in the workplace and personally. We recently held an all-company workshop on resilience and we continue to invite world-class speakers and mentors to help develop our people - particularly during challenging times.

All our people have access to confidential counselling services by EAP to provide practical assistance when personal or work issues arise that may impact on their ability to do their job or affect their wellbeing.

You don’t always need to make big gestures to make meaningful changes

Squirrel have chosen to donate to The Conscious Kid to help fund their anti-racism educational resources. We also choose selective causes and charities to support throughout the year such as Shoebox Christmas and Jammies for June. We listen to our people and are happy to get behind causes they are passionate about.

We are committed to providing our own people and clients with an inclusive workplace and service. We recognise that we are not perfect. There is work to be done! And we are up for as many uncomfortable chats as it takes. 

We believe in doing our bit

Whilst we’re not a big carbon producer, we believe in doing our bit to be green. We’ve come up with a set of core actions to reduce our carbon footprint. Our Sale St office is now solar powered and we have taken measures to eliminate as much waste as possible from our day to day operations.

Lots of Squirrels want to make a difference and our team is dedicated to maintaining our stance on this.

We also have a policy of refurbishing and recycling our used Macbooks and phones for staff to provide for their families.
