Squirrel successfully negotiated to get the fee waived, which saved Damien and Susan $5,500 and they also avoided loan application fees which can be as high as $500. But it was not just about saving the money. It also saved us a huge amount of time. Damian says their Squirrel adviser, was in email contact with them every day for three weeks, giving them advice including what to put in their sale and purchase agreement and how to structure their loan. They never kept us waiting. anything, we sometimes slowed things down by not getting straight back to them. All up we would have spent about six to seven hours on the whole process.
