With more than 25 years in finance, Angela has pretty much seen it all when it comes to mortgages. She’s worked with many of New Zealand’s major banks and non-bank lenders, led Squirrel’s credit and mortgage operations teams, and even spent eight years owning and running her own mortgage broking business.

That experience gives Angela a great understanding of how different lenders think and, importantly, how to find the right solution for each client. Her approach is simple: cut through the jargon, make the complicated stuff easier to understand, and help clients make confident decisions about their home lending.

When she’s not talking mortgages, Angela is sports mad. If there’s a game on, chances are she’ll be watching it, whether from the sideline or the comfort of the couch.

Qualifications

NZ Certification in Architectural Draughting, NZ Certification Residential Property Lending (Level 5).

How Angela is paid

Angela is a salaried adviser and is paid the same no matter which lender you choose, so there's no pressure or bias toward any particular option. At a company level, Squirrel is paid either upfront or through a combination of upfront and trail commissions by its lenders and insurance providers.
