Blake is a Mortgage Adviser based in Wellington with a strong background in banking from BNZ and HSBC. He specialises in residential lending (and a bit of sports chat on the side). A keen sportsman and seasoned athlete, Blake has played over 250 senior/premier rugby games, won six straight Wellington AFL titles, and has even scored an albatross playing golf! Pretty impressive, if we don’t say so ourselves. When he’s not talking sport or helping clients, he’s off on adventures with his young family, or on the hunt for the best fried chicken in town.

How Blake is paid

Blake's advice is completely free. He is a salaried adviser and is paid the same no matter which lender you choose, so there's no pressure or bias toward any particular option. Squirrel at a company level is paid upfront or a combination of upfront and trail commission by its lenders and insurance providers.
